E-books with extras: Pottermore and the Grüffelo

CPI is the leader in e-book conversion

We develop content in new formats, such as Apple Fixed Layout and EPUB3, and our relationships with dealers allow us to work with their operating software for future releases - that's how CPI customers get started on the market.

Our customers are one step ahead of the competition

CPI brings all its know-how in the digital service

In March 2011, CPI's e-book was the first in the UK to feature the new Fixed-Layout ePub iPad format, allowing publishers to create ebooks with accurate layouts using CSS or stylesheet. Sizes are specified in pixels, not in font sizes, which allow the reader to zoom without leaving the text. The "Gruffalo Red Nose Day Song Book" (from the children's book series known in Germany under "The Grüffelo") was converted by CPI for the publishing house Pan Macmillan into an improved multimedia e-book format. So it reached number 1 in the iTunes charts. The children's e-book includes an exclusive audio recording of the "Gruffalo Song" and a video by illustrator Axel Scheffler drawing the Grüffelo.

CPI offers more than just a simple eBook

We also implemented the Pottermore contract and converted the Harry Potter series not only in English but also in all translations.
Pottermore is not only an e-book store for seven fantasy novels, but also a fantastic online experience for J.K. Rowling has written extensive new material about characters, locations and items in the series.

In addition to the conversion, we also offer e-book sales. CPI gives you immediate access to the global market thanks to our contracts with Apple, Amazon and many other online platforms.
