On Wednesday, 26.04.2023, our first Open House event took place in Erfurt at Zeitfracht Medien GmbH. In addition to a production tour through the logistics center, our guests gained insights into the cooperation between CPI and Zeitfracht and attended two presentations by our guest speakers.

We are pleased to invite you to our Open House on 26.04.2023 in Erfurt at Zeitfracht Medien GmbH & CPI. One day before the opening of the Leipzig Book Fair, we will discuss the modern world of publishing with you.
Lars Flick (CEO; goldorange.com) presents tools to increase backlist sales through more visibility.
After the lunch break, Tobias Ott (CEO, pagina GmbH) will talk about the opportunities for sustainability in our industry.
With over 50 people, the 1 ½ days were booked up to the last seat. The guests received a lot of input from the varied program, consisting of tours of the logistics and print shop on the one hand and relevant background presentations on the other.
The highlight was the two presentations by the external speakers: Alexander Faust gave a profound insight into DeGruyter's structure and circulation strategy. Here, the participants could exchange their questions with the experts and colleagues.
The lecture by Markus Klose, "The Good Agency", was entertaining and informative. Using concrete examples, he showed the challenges in store price policy and the need for courageous action.

The first HC has now rolled off the production line at CPI Druckdienstleistungen in Erfurt. We are therefore even more attuned to the individual wishes of our customers.
CPI Druckdienstleistungen GmbH produces "directly to the bookstore", which is to be taken quite literally. Our production is located within the most modern distribution warehouse in Germany, namely at Zeitfracht. Here we produce paperbacks within 2 hours and soon also hardcovers within one day directly into the tubs for bookstores.
CPI is thus increasing its PoD production share immensely in order to be an even more attractive business partner with demand-driven production and high availability.
